Pair of Louis Philippe Mirrors
NZ$5,250
each sold as a pair
Occasionally, we are asked for a pair of mirrors - they are notoriously hard to find and, of course, command a premium. We sourced this pair of Louis Philippe period mirrors in Northern France. They are crested in a regal manner, a decorative style that was prevalent on mirrors and furniture alike, and adorned the walls of French chateaux across the regions during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
The original mercury is edged in a fine beaded line tracing the edge of the iconic Louis Philippe, moulded, water and oil-gilded frame. At 1 meter tall each, these mirrors will look grand in any setting.
Please do not ask us to split the pair; we have other single oval mirrors available.
