When I run out of money buying, Greenie says, "Anything else?" and I say, "Okay, if we see a Louis Philippe crested mirror, we will buy it," - knowing full well that they are impossible to find.
This is one of those hard-to-find mirrors.
The original mercury mirror is surrounded by a water-gilded frame with an applied Louis XV crest, with roccoco swirls and small laurel-leaf decorations.
