This is a large, tapered-legged French dining table commissioned by a great JS&Co. supporter in Wanaka for his new house.

We have carefully built this table and polished it before assembly, and then only assembled it with dry wooden pegs. No glue as the climate is so dry in Wanaka, and this will allow the table to open and close with the seasons. Very clever.

A thick top in figured French oak is used, and it is not dressed (buzzed) so as to give you the perfect foundation upon which to build a lifetime of patina.
