We have never had a Jacobean Chest-on-Stand before. This is such a beautiful model - do look at the third image (close up) of the geometric drawers, you get a real sense of the age of the piece - 1660s I suspect. The wide-brimmed moulding, the planked top, excellent geometric design and drop handles all contribute to the picture of this lovely chest on its stretcher base.
