We procure these wonderful old workbenches in northern France, many in Brittany.
There are several on this website, but this one is particularly gorgeous. It is not too massive, and can be moved by two people.
They look a bit sad when you buy them - they have had a very hard life - and we give them a coat of French polish. It releases every cut and hammer blow.
These look wonderful beneath modern art, or in an entrance.
