A large and impressive Louis XIV period French armoire: top to bottom perfection.
The top cornice moulding is quite plain, and this is decorated with a crest of flowers from a decorative cane basket (excellent carving).
Each door features two fielded panels, exquisitely bordered in chain and bead carving, topped with more flowers, and olive leaves below laurel.
The entire armoire is raised on Louis XIV carved feet.
