Settle with Box Seat

NZ$5,500

Jacobean, we suspect - 300 years old.

The box settle base is in the manner of a coffer, with a lift-up lid.

Above the lid are three panels: two plain outer planels flanking a richly-inlaid, fielded panel.

Two Jacobean arms with gun barrel turnings support the back.
