An apprentice piece was the last thing/the final test for an apprentice before becoming a qualified craftsperson. The piece was generally a miniature version of the pieces made in the head cabinetmaker's workshop.

Made after 1820 this apprentice's piece features columns flanking geometric fielded drawers. Original handles and escutcheons.
