English George II oak furniture is the epitome of 'getting it right', and this is an excellent example of Georgian oak design with no embellishments, something not seen in earlier or later examples.
Made of quarter-sawn oak timber, the top section comprises two short drawers over three long drawers, with original brass swan-neck handles. The bottom section has three long drawers. Each drawer has front to back oak drawer liners.
The chest-on-chest sits on bracket feet.
Absolutely faultless.
