Louis XVI Ebonised Semainier
Semaine is the French name for "week". This commode has seven drawers, one for each day of the week. How organised is that!
Each drawer has a fielded panel in brass and a pair of Regency ring handles. The entire chest is raised on turned and fluted legs, giving the piece a lightness that complements the black French polish finish.
