Bleached Jacobean Commode

NZ$5,500

Jacobean furniture is typified by its geometric-patterned facings.

This chest of drawers is a terrific example of Jacobean workmanship, with two square-fielded drawers over three long drawers, fielded in a variety of geometric patterns. The chest sits on bracket feet.

Engraved plate back handles are the correct handles for this period.

The bleached finish is a contemporary 21st century take, it certainly highlights the amazing workmanship of those 17th century craftsmen (and women!).
