French Bureau Plat
A cherrywood bureau plat from the Directoire period (late 18th century).
The tapered legs support the desk with its two deep drawers flanking one long drawer.
Each deep drawer has a decorative ring handle, the centre drawer has an escutcheon.
Faux drawers feature on the back of the desk.
