Louis XVI Cupboard

This is not as old a piece as I would normally buy, but I couldn't resist the simple clean lines of this French cupboard.

An original Carrara marble top over the walnut base consisting of two fielded doors. Each door is fielded in brass, the only nod to detail is the fine inlaid escutcheon. The cupboard is raised on finely turned Louis XVl legs with brass tips.

Photographed here with two white clay pots by a famous ceramicist, K2!
