An Art Deco Lamp

A classic art deco lamp.  This is a stunning period piece, even the linen of the skirt is beautifully cast.

Made in the style of Max de Verrier by the Spanish sculptor Enrique Mollis Balleste, this piece is cold painted cast metal with a marble base and glass sphere and signed Balleste on the foot - fully rewired to NZ standards. 

Balleste (1893-1958) was born in Barcelona, Spain, he later moved to Paris, France. He is known for his theatrical and genre groups and lighting figurative work.
