Crested Mirror
Somehow this got to the shop without having its photograph taken.
A gorgeous top quality mid 19th century mirror from France.
The piercing on the crest is absolutely fabulous, the glass is the original mercury plate glass, and the back of the mirror is panelled. A panelled back may not sound very exciting but most mirrors have boarded backs - a panelled back suggests this piece came from a chateau.
