A Semainier, a French Chest of Drawers

Seven drawers, one for every day of the week.

A tall marble-topped Louis Philippe Period commode.

Each drawer is fielded with an applied gilt edge moulding, and decorated with Regency ring handles and Louis XVl escutcheons.

The chest is topped with its shaped and original marble, which sits above matching turned and fluted corner columns that become turned, fluted and tapered feet.

Fantastic detail on the most practical of commodes.
