George I Period Mirror

An early, George I period, oval mirror with its original mercury glass. The convex moulding of the frame is lightly etched with a vine and flower pattern, and cross-hatched under the top and bottom crests, and is beaded around the inner edge next to the glass. The top crest features a central seashell suspended in a frame of acanthus leaf and beading. This is a smashing quality mirror, and has had many hours (and dollars) spent on restoration.
