The Cep takes its name and distinctive contours from the edible Bolete variety of mushrooms. Finished in bright nickel it will magically mirror its surroundings, but pictured here in dark bronze, its convex form prevails.
The Cep body, stem and shade are spun by hand from thick brass sheets, using steel formers. Before the final patination in one of the twelve finishes, mirror polishing ensures that all surfaces are perfectly smooth to the eye and touch.
