Louis Philippe Crested Mirror

A Louis Philippe (or a bit earlier) Rococo crested, water gilded mirror. These mirrors are very difficult to find - the plain Louis Philippe frame with clean sides and beaded inner leading up to an amazing foliate crest that extends over the shoulders of the mirror. The unusual crest is balanced by attractive foliate scrolls to the bottom corners, giving the mirror width and and connection to a console or commode.

The central Rococo scrolls are very sharp, indicating excellent quality.
