French Crested Mirror
I have owned this mirror for years; it got left at the back of the stack in the chapel. When I pulled the mirror out I thought that's a very nice mid 19th century mirror with a bit going on.
The mirror dates from the first quarter 19th century. It has an ornate foliate scroll flanked by laurel leaves, torch and quiver. The mirror's shoulders have parterre corners.
The mirror's gilding is a bright gold leaf, which can be toned down.
