Louis XIV Dresser Base

Please enquire for price

Purchased in Brittany this drawer base is called an enfilade which I think means rows of soldiers- anyway this is a row of 4 doors with two drawers above.

The entire piece is in the Loise XIV manner and has been bleached in Normandy by some very clever French craftspeople that have kept it white ( most bleaches make things go yellow). I am guessing the dimensions 2.2m wide x 950mm tall x 500mm deep and solid oak with a bleached parquet top.

Original handles and key escutcheons.

AGE Circa 1890
