Military Chest of Drawers

The photograph does not do justice to this very nice military chest of drawers on bun feet. Made of the most delightful camphorwood it has two short drawers over three long drawers with external carry handles. In two parts, the top part lifts off the bottom two drawers and when you open a drawer and poke your nose in, the fantastic smell of camphor is still intense after nearly 200 years! This chest has the nicest set of recessed brass handles and on the end of the two sections of the chest are lifting handles to enable the owner to lift the chest on to the side of the Major's mule so he could go forward to the next campaign.
