George I Chest of Drawers

An English oak George I chest of drawers with very nice colour and patina, awaiting bun feet. It may not look the part in the photo but Greenie (my man in Yorkshire) will go through 1000 pieces just to find this one. It is that perfect period (after the Jacobean panelling),conservative classical George I where the oak was writhen (cut radially) and then smoothed to give maximum medullary ray colour. All it needs is some beautifully proportioned bun feet and a wax to be the perfect piece to go in a modern or classical home. Very nice. Arriving December 2012.
