Original and Complete Colonial Dresser

An original and complete colonial dresser that still has its cresting (often later removed). Typically Rimu or Kauri with a Pururi veneer that in this case has been stained to imitate walnut or mahogany. The level and detail of the carving indicate expensive embellishments so this is a superior piece. Bellied front, original mirror silvering, electro-plate "antiqued" nouveau handles and bun feet which is unusual and adds interest. With its generous size and sophisticated decoration such as the complex turnings, this is a really fine quality dresser and it would be hard to find a better one.
